À l’occasion du salon CES 2023, Disney, Imax et DTS ont annoncé l’arrivée cette année du « Son signature Imax par DTS ». Pour rappel, Disney+ a ajouté une option « Imax Enhanced » sur une partie des films Marvel fin 2021 sur Disney+. Disney annonçait alors que le son arriverait prochainement dans son option Imax.
DTS ou DTS:X sur lesfims Imax Disney+ ?
Le moment est venu. Tous les films Imax Enhanced bénéficieront en 2023 du son DTS, décrit comme « immersif », même si aucune mention n’est faite au . À noter qu’il faudra disposer de matériel compatible pour profiter du format. Sont cités pour le moment les TV certifiés de Sony et Hisense, ainsi que les ampli-tuners de Denon, Marantz et JBL.
